Catherine works as a Course Coordinator and Lecturer at the University of South Australia (UniSA), teaching courses on description and discovery of resources, metadata, information management professional practice, and information and records management. She has also had the pleasure of applying this theory to practice as a Teacher Librarian at Endeavour College, managing a school library and coordinating and teaching programs for research skills, literacy, and reading enjoyment.
With a Bachelor in Information Management, Masters in Information Technology and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education, supplemented with continuing professional development, she has a strong background in education, technology, and information science. She has published and presented on inquiry learning, student agency, immersive environments, artificial intelligence, and metadata for representation and diversity. Her mission is to share her knowledge, interest, and experience with students, teachers, and the community, and to inspire them to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
