Humphrey Kombe Keah
Information and Knowledge Management Consultant
Humphrey Kombe Keah is an Information and Knowledge Management Consultant with MSc. in Information Technology (IT) and BSc. in Information Sciences. He is well-versed with information management systems installation and training, having worked as a full-time employee with various multicultural organizations including the UN, public and private sector enterprises for a period of twenty years. Further, he taught at Intel College of Microcomputers and Business Information Systems, Technical University of Kenya (TUK), and currently at the Department of Computer and Information Systems (CIS) – School of Pure and Applied Sciences, Garissa University, Kenya, where he teaches information systems and cybersecurity, software development, web design, computer organization and architecture and Project management. He served as Webmaster and Communications Officer for the Special Interest Group on International Information Issues (SIG-III) of the Association for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T) and co-ordinated the first international conference between the iSchools Caucus and 40 African universities running iSchools. Humphrey translated the DCMI Survey on Metadata and AI into French. Humphrey speaks fluent English, French, and Swahili, with a working knowledge of Spanish. Currently he is pursuing doctoral studies in Information Science by research through the University of South Africa (UNISA).
