Dr. Zhixian (George) Yi is a lecturer and Ph.D. supervisor in the School of Information and Communication Studies at Charles Sturt University, Australia. He teaches courses in management, marketing, and project and event management, and conducts related research projects. His research interests include leadership, management, change management, marketing, information technology use, data analysis, and artificial intelligence.
He holds a Ph.D. in information science and a Ph.D. minor in educational leadership from Texas Women's University (USA), and a master's degree in information science from Southern Connecticut State University (USA). He was awarded the 2009 Eugene Garfield Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship from Beta Phi Mu, the International Library and Information Studies Honor Society. In 2010, he was selected for inclusion into Who's Who in America.
He has a significant publication record with 2 refereed research books titled Marketing Services and Resources in Information Organizations and Change Management in Information Organizations that were published by the world-leading Elsevier publisher, 30 refereed articles published in 14 journals, and 5 refereed conference proceedings.
He is a member of the editorial board of The Journal of Academic Librarianship, an editor of the Journal of Aussie-Sino Studies and a section editor of Open Information Science. He is a life member of Chinese American Librarians Association – an affiliate of American Library Association and associate of the Australian Library and Information Association.
